Founded in 1912 by Charles Reginald Belling with capital of just £150, a shed in Enfield and a young assistant, Belling has become one of the UK’s best loved kitchen appliance brands, with a multi-million pound turnover, worldwide exports and more than 1000 employees in the UK – Belling is still manufacturing right here, in Britain today. The brand’s rich 100 year history has seen it launch a number of world and UK cooking firsts, developing products and technologies decades ago that still are important to British cooks today. These innovations include the first all enamelled cooker, the first domestic fan oven, the first slot-in cooker, the first range cooker and, most recently, the world’s first induction oven. Today Belling is proud to be part of the only major kitchen appliance company still committed to manufacturing range cookers, built in ovens and hobs and freestanding cookers in the UK. Innovative cooking tecnology
Belling is proud to be part of Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, the only manufacturer that builds freestanding cookers, built-in ovens & hobs and range cookers right here in the UK. Manufacturing uniquely British products for British cooks. Belling products are made with pain-staking attention to detail, and its production site is purposely split into small teams, who work solely on just one product, carefully assembling each and every appliance from the ground up, by hand. Belling are proud to be founder-members of the Made In Britain initiative and are still very much involved with its campaigning and championing of British industry.
Belling has recently been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2012, in the international trade category. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are one of the UK's most prestigious accolades for business performance, and the award recognises Belling’s outstanding performance in growing sales of its British-made products overseas. Belling’s first class customer service has seen the brand win the much coveted Total Excellence Quality Customer Care award four times, this year recording its highest ever score. Belling’s UK based customer call centre employs 130 Belling experts and a talented team of 200 skilled engineers.
